Chocolate Recipes

Chocolate temptations are tough to resist. Chocolate cravings tend to get more intense during the holidays. Most of us have grown up eating chocolate cakes, chocolate tarts and chocolate ice creams. Chocolate fudges and brownies take the mind and body to the next level of ecstasy but then reality sets in- What happens to the weight?
Weight gain is synonymous with eating chocolate. But there are ways to burn off those calories. Twenty minutes of intense jogging, playing tennis and even half an hour of ballroom dancing can melt those extra pounds away.
If you are stumped with ideas on what you can make to impress your guests after dinner then here is a simple recipe called Chocolate Crunch. This recipe helps to manage time and any form of chocolate for desserts is always welcome.
Chocolate Crunch:
150gm Dark chocolate
30gm Assorted dry fruits
Method:
You will need a double boiler to melt the dark chocolate. Melt the chocolate by stirring it gently and on low flame. Too much heat destroys the chocolate’s glaze.
Take a handful of assorted nuts like almonds, raisins, pistachios, hazelnuts etc and roast them. You can also buy roasted nuts from the market. But make sure they are nice and crunchy. This can really make or break the recipe.
After the dark chocolate has melted evenly, add the roasted nuts to it and mix them gently. Take a plate and cover it with silver foil. Now take small portions of the liquid chocolate with nuts and place them on the plate. Keep them small and at equal distance.
Once the entire preparation is transferred to the plate, keep it in the refrigerator for about four hours. If you are in a hurry then you can also put in the freezer, but mind you, the freezer will absorb the chocolate’s moisture.
After the scheduled time, the chocolate will easily come off the silver foiled plate. They will look like uneven rocks. You can serve them with an array assorted biscuits. But make sure the biscuits are not chocolate flavored.
You can add “chocolate crunch” to a small portion of vanilla ice-cream and serve it to your guests. The chocolate with crunchy nuts and ice cream creates a delightful combination. This recipe is highly nutritious because dark chocolate contains antioxidants and the nuts provide essential vitamins, protein and has zero cholesterol.
