How To Jump Over Hurdles In A Writing Career

May 16, 2007

What do you do when there is a patch of even surface or a pothole in the middle of the road? Do you take a U-turn to avoid it? I hope not. Most of the drivers slow down and make it to the other side. What do you do when you have a bad hair day?

Do you lock yourself in your room and don’t step out? Some wear a bandanna or a hat to cover up, while some apply hair gel for that sleek, wet look.Through these mundane examples I am trying to explain that all of us have our good days and bad. But that should not hamper our productivity and commitments. We all have to move on.

Similarly, if a writer is out of creative ideas or just feeling dejected that is no excuse to stop writing. Find alternative ways to spice up your life. Giving up will only make it worse.

In the next edition of my blog we will discuss ways to pick up those feelings of self pity and transform them into something …………………..Let’s keep the suspense up for a little while.
