Adding Radish To Your Diet
September 20, 2007
Here are some of the benefits of eating radish.
1) Radishes and their greens provide an excellent source of vitamin C.
2) Their leaves contain almost six times the vitamin C content of their roots.
3) They are also a rich source of calcium.
4) Red globes also offer a very good source of the trace mineral molybdenum and they also have excellent amounts of potassium and folic acid.
5) Daikons also provide a fair good amount of potassium and copper.
6) Radish belongs to the same family of cabbage, kale, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and all of them contain cancer protecting properties.
7) They contain a variety of sulphur based chemicals that increase the flow of bile present in the liver. This also helps to keep the gall bladder in good condition and helps in digestion.
