Define Your Fitness Mantra
May 9, 2007
How does one define fitness? Freedom from ailments and diseases or a balance between lean body mass and fat. Each one has a different perception about what is actually being fit. But how realistic is this outlook?
Today if a woman’s waistline is twenty-four inches then that’s considered a perfect body. The ever-changing society sets its standard of fitness and onlookers will do anything to blend in.
One aspires and emulates celebrity diets, join gyms, consume fat dissolving pills and when they want faster results, there is always surgery. The key factor of being healthy is when the metabolism and digestive functions work hand in hand.
Before starting any diet or fitness program one needs to understand what they really want to achieve. Is it a weight loss to fit into an evening gown or to maintain a healthy body and age gracefully?
