Drinking Water-The Healthy Addiction

In the previous post “Why Is It Necessary To Drink Water” was focused on understanding the benefits of drinking water. But knowing it and practicing it on a daily basis is tough. You may remember it today but at the end of the week, you will go back to your routine.
Here are some tips to increase your water consumption, make it a habit and get addicted to it.
1) Keep a beautiful jug of water with a glass on your work desk. Sometimes we maybe thirsty but we feel too lazy to get up, go to the kitchen and get ourselves a glass of water.
2) Get innovative in choosing the glass you will drink water in. You can buy a nice crystal one or get a sipper. Anything that grabs your attention.
3) You can add variety in the taste of water with ice, a slice of lemon and a mint sprig.
4) Set a reminder in the form of an alarm on your wrist watch, cell phone or computer to get you to drink water.
5) When traveling, running errands or even when shopping carry a bottle of water. This really helps and reminds you that you could be thirsty.
6) Exercising increases your water intake. So always drink plenty of water before starting any workout and also after it.
Inculcating a new habit initially takes time. But once you have understood the tremendous power and goodness of water, I am sure that it won’t be long before you become addicted to water.
