Everyday Backaches And Pains
July 25, 2007
Aches and pains are part of life. Many of us ignore it and think it will go away while others pop in couple of painkillers. But have we really given much thought as to why are we suffering this regularly.
Everyday backaches and pains happen because:
-
Bad Posture: Slouching is very common.
-
Wrong Furniture Selection: The chair where you sit for hours working may not be ergonomically designed to support your back and shoulder.
-
Sedentary Lifestyle: Spending too many hours at work with no time for physical fitness can cause stiffness and hurt the joints.
- Excessive Weight Gain: This also hampers mobility and causes frequent aches and pains.
Regular walking and exercising keeps the body in shape and supple. Yoga is the best way to gain flexibility. Light massages also help to loosen up the tensed muscles. Hot compress or a cold ice pack sometimes gives instant relief and so do muscle relaxant ointments.
If the back pain persists for long then it is very important to seek medical help. Such aches and pains should not be ignored and covered up with over the counter painkillers.
