Fruit DietFruits are essential part of our diet. They contain a lot of essential nutrients needed for the body’s growth and development. Going on a fruit diet, helps to detoxify the body. Helps to hydrate our skin, makes us feel lighter and also helps in losing weight. Each fruit has its special nutrients which add freshness and richness to our diet. Here are few fruits and their benefits.
 

Mango: Mango is known as the king of fruit and is an essential body builder. It is highly nutritious and vitalizes and nourishes the body. It is an excellent source of a variety of vitamins like A, B, B12 etc.

Watermelon: This fruit is ideal when on a weight loss programme. It is very filling as well as hydrates the body. It has the ability to cleanse and replenish the body with essential salts.

Cherry: They are best anti-oxidants and help in lowering cholesterol. Cherries are widely used in anti-ageing supplements.

Banana: This is the ideal fruit because it is widely available, cheap and wholesome in every way. Its fibre content is ideal to fight constipation. It is also known for its rich source of calcium. This is very filling when eaten at breakfast and helps to give energy slowly unlike sugar based cereals.

Pomegranate: They are a rich source of iron. They also work well as anti-oxidants.

Papaya: This fruit too is a complete on its own. It is rich in vitamins and helps in weight loss. Papaya is used in many face masks for skin tightening and in anti-ageing products.

Lemon: This is a refreshing fruit and makes a nourishing thirst quencher in summer. They are help as anti-carcinogens.

Fig: Fig contains protein, iron and natural sugars. It is known as a body building element.

Guava: This is another fruit rich in fibre that helps to cleanse the body and helps to tackle constipation.

 

Orange: This fruit gets easily absorbed in the body. It is refreshing, a rich source of vitamin C and helps in strengthening the body.

Strawberry: A rich source of vitamins and nourishes the cells of the body.

Grape: This fruit is high in water and fibre content. They assist in loosening hardened deposits in the body and help in circulation.

Apple: All varieties of apples are helpful in cleansing the body. It is less in calories and ideal to include in your diet if you are planning to lose weight.

Cantaloupe: This fruit too is very filling and is very good for the skin.

Fruits should be made a part of the diet for both children and adults. Every fruit has various advantages which add variety to the meals and its flavors tantalize the taste buds.

 

If you plan to go on a fruit diet make sure you eat a lot of it and not starve. Whenever going on a detox diet or weight loss programme, it is always advisable to ask your doctor. All diet plans are not suitable for everyone. Different body has different requirements based on their age, height, weight and lifestyle.
