Hair Fall, Hair Loss, Baldness-The Agony Continues
November 24, 2007
Once upon a time, hair loss was a sign of ageing. We all knew that grandpa is bald because he is old. If such was the case now, then people in their twenties should be called “Grandpa” and “Grandma.”
Hair fall and hair loss is the most common problem which we all face very early in life. This is across continents and nation, irrespective of race and climatic conditions.
There are various reasons for hair fall:
-
Improper diet
-
Genes
-
Hormonal Imbalance
-
Dandruff
-
Wrong choice of shampoos
-
Frequent coloring
-
Styling products
-
Health problems
-
Unhygienic ways of handling hair
-
Reaction to medications.
There are millions of remedies available to treat hair fall. Starting from Ayurvedic oils, Ayurvedic Dhara treatment where the person is laid and oil drips, drop by drop from a hanging pot onto a specific point on the forehead. Various herbs and plant extracts are available for eating and application. Then there is homeopathy which offers miracles.
Various salons and spas have their own hair treatment therapies and packages. Hair vitalizers, hair packs (similar to face packs), root stimulating machines and many more products are available throughout the globe. If there was a cure for hair loss and baldness then I am sure there would be no balding men and women in this world.
There are no magic cures for hair fall. Genes play a vital role in balding. Currently Prince William is also facing a similar problem inspite of being in his twenties. When living like a prince causes hair loss, then think again what will happen to the commoners like us in this world.

Got something to say?

i am 23 years old my hair is to white give me the permenat solution for that.
Hi Dhara,
There is no solution to combat grey hair. It could be genetics. Most people suffer from premature greying. The only solution is to color it but then, you have to remember that it is temporary and there are chemicals in the coloring product.
Some people try henna paste but that turns the hair color reddish to hues of orange and that too needs to be touched up every 2 weeks. Henna also makes the hair texture dry and brittle. I think you will just have to live with it. Consult your doctor and find out if he can recommend some good dietary tips and vitamins so that this greying can be controlled to some extent.

Hi Mohit,
Thanks for writing in. I think you need to get to a gastric specialist and find out what is the exact discomfort that you are facing. Maybe the vital vitamins, minerals, proteins are not getting absorbed in your system that you receive from your diet. A gastric specialist will formulate a special diet for you and you should stick to that. I think this will automatically reduce hairfall.
Hi Nayna,
Thanks for the response.
Please note that i am loosing hair as well as the quality is detoriating day in day out!!
Please let me know if you have some medicens for the problem as this gastric problem is almost there for last 3-4 years but the hairloss is a very fresh episode.
I would appreciate if you can mail some treatment. Though i will still visit my gastro for further checkup!
