1) Orange: This fruit is packed with Vitamin C which is common knowledge but along with that it is high in fiber, folate, Vitamin B1, A, potassium and calcium. Valencia oranges are known to me more juicy and ideal for a refreshing, morning, appetite booster. The orange peel can be grated just a bit to get the zest and this adds a tangy flavor in salad dressings and even as garnish in hot soups and broths. But make sure you just that a bit of the surface. If you grate the peel too much, the taste will be bitter. Also read on the importance of various natural fruits in Fruit Diet-Detoxify And Lose Weight

2) Broccoli: This vegetable is not as bad as it has been made out to be. Cooked lightly or stir fried gives it a crunchy taste. It’s a rich source of vitamin C, A and K. Its antioxidant properties help to fight stomach cancer and ulcer leading to acid reflux problems. Read Heartburns–Understanding Acid Reflux Treatment-GERD for in-depth understanding.

3) Sweet Potato: This starchy vegetable is a nutritional powerhouse of vitamin C, A, E, fiber, potassium, iron, magnesium and phytochemicals like beta carotene, lutein and zeaxanthin. Grilled and baked sweet potato taste wonderful without adding dollops of butter and cheese. They work extremely well as fillings in pies and tarts.

4) Grapefruit: Grapefruit lowers cholesterol. This fruit too is a rich source of vitamin C, A, B5, folate and potassium. This is an ideal fruit or juice for breakfast.
