This can be a good thing and bad. If that activity is for the benefit to the body and soul then it is commendable but if it is an addiction to vices then it is best that you stay away.

To be a part of any adventure sports, the body should be trained. One doesn’t have to be an athlete but they should have some level of fitness.
Daily exercises like walking, jogging, weight training or even playing tennis, basketball, racket ball helps to keep the heart healthy. The muscles are flexible and the joints and tendons can perform to the optimum. 1) Plan your adventure sports holiday few months in advance so that you can train your body. Start with the basics of daily stretching, walking, jogging and end it again with stretching.
2) Weight train to develop strength. If you are planning on rock climbing, then make sure you have sufficient upper body strength. Push-ups, chin-ups, shoulder press, bench press are some of the essential exercises that should include in your routine.
3) If you are going for water sports like kayaking, rafting and scuba diving then practice swimming in deep waters. Learn to hold your breath under water and keep practicing.
4) Make sure the agency who is handling the adventure sports are licensed. Read about their safety guidelines and emergency medical services.
5) Find out the adventure sports company’s past records and performances. Are there any reports of accidental deaths?
6) When at the location, if you find their safety gear is not up to the standards then know before hand their refund options.
Enjoying adventure sports is a thrill which cannot be explained in words. It is a rush which the body and mind feels at a different level. Make sure that your next adventure activity is a memorable one and not scarred with mishaps.
