Walking-The Simple, Hassle Free And Effective Exercise

We all have learnt to walk from a very early age. Watching your child learn to balance, stand up and take his first baby steps is a biggest joy of every parent. Understanding the important effects that walking has to our wellness can change your opinion to walking as an exercise. 

  • Walking is a number one stress buster. It relieves you of anxiety,  depression and builds your mental fitness.

  • Walking improves circulation. 

 

  • Walking gives a feeling of lightness and enhances your energy levels. This in turn works on your self esteem and boosts your confidence. 

  • Walking helps to reduce weight and helps in maintaining it. 

 

 

  • Walking strengthens the heart muscles and reduces the risk of coronary diseases. 
  • Walking reduces the cholesterol and blood pressure levels.

 

  • Walking lessens the risk of various types of cancer. 

  • Walking strengthens the joints and bones.

 

  • Walking helps to build muscle strength.

 

  • Walking tones the muscles of the calves, thighs and glutes. 

So take a walk in the park, beach or even near a playground. Feel the wind embracing you with its soft kisses. Relax and remember that life is truly a wonderful gift we all need to nurture.
