Sudden Death By Terror

December 2, 2008

Earthbound SoulDeath is inevitable. All living beings born are meant to die some day. But the nature of their death and the means to their end, makes a big difference.

In Hinduism, it is believed that the last thought that you have trapped in your mind at the time of death, decides on your rebirth and in which form.

So what happens to those who die a terrorizing death? The people who are trapped as hostages, terrorized in the hands of assailants holding weapons of destruction or those innocent victims who are lined up to be shot at. What would be their last thoughts?

Apprehension, trauma, helplessness…

Some could be thinking of their parents, spouse and children. The feeling of despair and knowing that they will die with a bullet hole in their head is certainly a ruthless way to die.

Sudden death due to terror can cause souls to become earthbound. There could be several reasons connected to this. For some, it could be because they are not ready to die, others want to say good-bye to their loved ones while others cannot understand that they are really dead. If a person has died at their workplace in a bomb blast, they can be earthbound mainly because that is a familiar place which they remember before death.

These wandering souls could be trapped for some time until proper rituals are conducted so that their souls can crossover. Many resist crossing over because they want to communicate with their loved ones and make amends. The thoughts and attachments for their family hold them back. It could also be that the souls maybe ready to move on but it is the family members and their unresolved issues that pull them back.

To end this tug of war between souls and material world, what should be done? Families should conduct the last rites according to their religion and forgive those who have passed away. Keep aside resentments and fill their hearts with love towards them. It is very easy to say to stop grieving but it should be curtailed otherwise the souls really find it hard to move on. The rest should be left to HIM.
