And you thought cellphones were designed just for talking. We have come a long way since the dawn of the wireless world. A mobile phone was the term used to simplify the difference between the phone plugged to your desktop and the phone in your pocket.
Times changed and so did their usage. It has taken a big leap from simple message texting to taking photographs in the phone’s camera, then inbuilt mp3 players to shooting videos, voice recording and gaming options. Now the cellular phone is also a mini computer to upload data to blogs.
Every cellular phone brand brings out new innovative way to promote their product and the best models for them are celebrities. The celebrity list includes movie stars, pop stars, sports player, musicians- anyone with whom the audience can connect with.
Ardent movie buffs tend to ape their favorite movie stars. They buy similar style of clothing, perfume, shoes and now it is their choice in cellphone. Buying the same model of cellphone that is owned by your favorite superstar is the new trend.
Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton are three of the world’s most photographed young celebrities and they are proud users of BlackBerry. Paris Hilton’s blackberry is bedazzled with thousands of Swarovski crystals.
Apple iPhones are used by Hillary Duff, Katherine Heigl, Carrie Underwood and Vanessa Hudgens. Palm is carried by Christina Applegate, Hayden Panettiere and Nicolette Sheridan. Treo Pro has been seen used by Laurence Fishburne.
This trend is also seen among Bollywood stars. The most prominent is the association of Shahrukh Khan with Nokia. Abhishek Bachchan was synonymous with Motorola for few years.
